mind stretched with a new idea, never goes back to it's original dimensions. Mistakes
are part of the dues one pays for having a full life. Our
doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by
fearing to attempt.
Fear is the mind-killer. Effort
only fully releases it's award after a person refuses to quit. Eighty
percent of success is showing up. Only
those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. An
artist cannot fail, it is a success to be one. I
saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free. There
are no shortcuts to any place worth going. Knowing
is not enough, we must apply, willing is not enough, we must do. It
is no use saying "I am doing my best" to succeed. You must
succeed in doing what's necessary. You
are never given a wish without the power to make it come true. You may
have to work for it, however. You
see things as they are and ask "Why", I dream things that
never were and ask "why not?" To
steal ideas from one person is plagiarism, to steal ideas from many
is research. Writing
is easy. All you have to do is stare at a blank piece of paper until
drops of blood form on your forehead. The
only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing. What
lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to
what lies within us. Whatever
you can do or dream, you can begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and
magic in it. Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to. A goal is a dream with a deadline. I
only paint when I'm inspired, but I make sure I'm inspired every day
at 9 a.m. |
